What training
with EJ involves.
Four routes: one-to-one in the studio, online on your own schedule, competition preparation, and BioTransform. What follows is what actually happens in each, and which part of it is yours.
The four options.
- 01
Personal training
One-to-one in the closed studio at 33E Hongkong Street. EJ writes the programme, runs the session and corrects you in the room.
- 02
Online coaching
Training and a balanced diet built for you, run on your own schedule and in your own space, with EJ’s coaching support behind it.
- 03
Competition preparation
Bodybuilding and physique prep. Training, nutrition, conditioning and posing structured towards a stage-ready physique.
- 04
BioTransform
Blood work and DNA insights set the plan instead of assumption. Alpha Beast’s science-based programme, on its own page.
Personal training
One-to-one, on the sixth floor of 33E Hongkong Street. The studio is private and closed, so the hour is yours: no waiting for equipment, no audience, no one working in around you.
It starts with a conversation rather than a session. What you want to change, what your week actually looks like, what you have already tried and where it stopped working. The programme is written from that. EJ trains every personality, fitness level and body type, and the plan is built for the body in front of him rather than pulled off a shelf.
In the session he runs it — the order of the work, the load, the tempo, the correction while the rep is happening. Nutrition is set alongside the training, because one without the other does not hold. As you adapt, the programme changes.
Outside the session the work is yours: the food, the sleep, and turning up. That part is not negotiable, and EJ will say so plainly when it slips.
The studio is open Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 9:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00am to 4:00pm, so sessions sit either side of a working day.

Online coaching
The same structure, run at a distance. You keep your own gym and your own schedule; the programme, the diet and the accountability come from EJ.
- Where
- Wherever you already train — a gym near work, the one downstairs, or at home. Your schedule and your space, not the studio’s opening hours.
- The programme
- A blend of exercises built to raise your metabolism and your overall health, written for your level rather than copied off a template.
- Nutrition
- A balanced diet set alongside the training, so the two are pulling the same way instead of cancelling each other out.
- Support
- EJ’s coaching support and check-ins while you run it. You train on your own. You do not decide on your own.
- Your part
- Doing the sessions when nobody is watching, and being straight in the check-ins about the ones you did not do.
- Who it suits
- People who travel, people who already train and want the guesswork taken out, and people who cannot get to Hongkong Street on a weekday.
If what you actually need is someone correcting you in the room, take personal training instead — it is the same coach and the same method, with the hour in the studio added back.
Back to personal trainingCompetition preparation
Bodybuilding and physique prep. Training, nutrition, conditioning and posing are built as one structure and timed against your show date, so that what walks on stage is balanced rather than only lean. Posing is part of the work from the start, not bolted on in the last week.
Prep is the least forgiving thing on this page. The programme moves as your condition moves, and it only works if the reporting back is honest.
EJ has stood on the stage himself — Mr World Singapore 2023, Senior Division — and he corners other people’s athletes at shows around the region, including Muscle Contest Vietnam. Seventeen medals have been won across bodybuilding and combat sports by athletes he has coached, male and female.
If you have a date, bring it to the first conversation. If you do not have one yet, that conversation is where it gets set.
Client resultsThe fourth route
starts with blood work.
Asked before signing up.
-
Ask for proof you can check. Photographs of that trainer’s own clients, taken in the same room at week one and again at week twelve. Names of people who will put their own name to it. And a programme that changes as your body changes, rather than the same eight weeks handed to everyone. Alpha Beast publishes the photographs and the names on the results page — read them before you message anyone, here or anywhere else.
-
A programme written for your body and your week. Nutrition set alongside the training rather than left to you to work out. Correction in the moment, while the rep is happening. And someone who holds the standard on the days you would rather not. Those four things are what the Alpha Beast Method is: discipline, structure, science and accountability.
-
Most Alpha Beast clients train two to four times a week. The right number for you depends on what you are training for, how well you recover, and what your week can genuinely hold. It gets set when the programme is written, not guessed at on day one, and it moves as you adapt.
-
Yes. Beginners are welcome. EJ trains every personality, fitness level and body type, and the programme is built around what you can do now rather than what somebody else can do. Having no habits to unpick is not a disadvantage.
-
No. EJ trains people from Singapore’s media and entertainment industry — Paul Foster, Kumar, Rishi Budhrani, Sharul Channa, Jason Godfrey, Joakim Gomez, Titus Low and Nicole Hunt among them — and he trains executives and professionals who never appear on a screen. The programme does not change depending on who you are.
-
If you want someone in the room correcting you, personal training. If you already train and want the guesswork removed while keeping your own schedule, online coaching. If there is a stage and a date, competition preparation. If you want the plan set by your own biomarkers instead of by assumption, BioTransform. If none of that is obvious, say what you want to change and EJ will tell you which one fits — or whether he is the wrong person for it.

There is no published price list. What you pay depends on which of the four programmes you take and how often you train, so the honest answer is to ask. Tell EJ what you want to change and he will tell you what it would take.
Tell EJ what you
want to change.
He will tell you straight whether he can help, which of the four fits, and what it would take. The studio is on the sixth floor of 33E Hongkong Street.
